What Happens When You Don’t Have A Bathroom Cabinet?
I grew up without a bathroom cabinet. I didn’t know its value not until I turned into an adult. It wasn’t really that bad. We had lots of cabinets elsewhere and my mom was pretty organized. All towels in cabinet A, linens in cabinet B, and so on and so forth. I have no idea even up to this moment why we didn’t have bathroom cabinets. Perhaps because the architect that built our house never suggested it or the thought simply didn’t cross my parents’ minds. Well, that was years ago but looking back, I realized how important it is to have such cabinets at home. I’m not saying I have one now but I wish I have.
I have had several funny and awkward instances in the bathroom that I’m sure a lot of you can relate to. This will serve as a wake-up call to those people who are building a house or buying a new house soon.

MISSING TOWEL
That moment when you realize that you threw your dirty towel to the laundry basket. This happens to me all the time. After taking my bath, I grab the towel but alas! There was none. So, I had to go out of the bathroom onto my bedroom with water dripping everywhere!
TOILET PAPER NO MORE
That moment when you’re obeying the call of nature and found out there’s no more toilet paper. You’ll agree with me when I say that this is an absolute bathroom emergency. Well, I remember shouting for SOS and a hand came in and offered me a toilet paper. What a relief!
TOILETRIES GONE
That moment when you realize that your new shampoo and soap is still in the grocery bag. It’s not that I have memory lapses but if I had a bathroom cabinet, I would have put these toiletries inside and not just leave them on the table. I had to squeeze the content of my old shampoo that was fortunately still there and used bits of my old soap. Don’t wonder, I was able to produce bubbles out of it.
What about the bathroom stuff that is supposed to be kept in the bathroom cabinets yet landed in another cabinet?
In my case, I need that particular space where the towels are placed for my other things but since I don’t have a bathroom cabinet, I have to keep it that way. Still, assigning it to its designated area can actually free the space. I guess I would have to make use of organizers or the DIY stuff to help me organize my bathroom stuff. In this way, I will have fewer bathroom bloopers.
